Reporting to council through the mayor you will lead a non-union staff of 54 through a team of six department heads. The CAO oversees a total proposed 2015 budget of $14 million
The Township Government
The Township of Seguin is governed by an elected Council consisting of a Mayor and 6 Councillors currently serving a four-year term (2014 – 2018). A new Council was elected in Seguin on October 27, 2014. The current Mayor and Council for the Township of Seguin are as follows:

The CAO Position
The successful candidate for the position will be a mature, proven people manager capable of, inspiring and developing existing and future, motivated, high performing staff at all levels. Strong leadership and customer satisfaction skills. The next CAO will lead by example, be a motivator, able to achieve high levels of service delivery excellence throughout the organization. The position requires someone with financial expertise, discipline to balance fiscal restraint with efficiency and effectiveness of organization.
Education and Experience
This position requires a post-secondary degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, political science, economics, finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred; and seven (7) years of administrative experience in a municipality as a CAO/City Manager, deputy CAO/City Manager, or in a related senior administrative capacity involving planning, management, and implementation.
